Type Locality and Naming
Along the Tangiduval River, Susyztau Mountains, South-Western Gissar. N.V.Beznosov, 1970 (91, p.82).
Synonym: Tangiduval Suite, Тангидувальская св.
Lithology and Thickness
Cross-bedded sandstones with layers of claystone (argillites), siltstone (aleurolites), and limestones, which in the north, in the lower part, are replaced by siltstone (aleurolites). Thickness 3-95m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Transgressive or conformable on the Degibadam Fm
Upper contact
It is overlain by the Baysun-Jur Fm.
Regional extent
South-Western Gissar and Bukhara-Karshinsky region of the Charjou steppe. The Tangiduval Fm is part of the Sarydiiyermen Horizon (165; 252).

Contains in the lower part of the suite ammonites - Oraniceras (Gonolkites) württembergicus (Opp.), at the top Siemiradzkia verciacensis Liss., Tulites tula Buckm. and others; marine bivalve mollusks - Astarte (Coelastare) incerta Pčel., Oxytoma cf. inaequivalve (Sow.), Posidonia buchi Roem. and others, foraminifera - layers with Nodosaria charvakensis and Epistomina kugitanica: Ophthalmidium serdjantica kintalensis Kurb. subsp.n., Lenticulina surhandarensis Kurb. sp.n., Planularia Semiinvoluta zarabagica Kurb. subsp.n., P. diibalensis Kurb. sp. n., Nodosaria charvakensis Kurb. sp. n., Lingulina dentaliniformis Terquem., Citharina heteropleura velumosemile Kurb. subsp. n. and others.
